Directions

  • Boil water and add salt and ghee.

  • Make a fine paste in mixer adding, grated coconut + green chillis + fried gram/kadale pappu

  • Add this paste to the rice flour.

  • Add the salted boiling water to the rice flour and keep it aside for 10 mins.

  • After it comes to room temperature, mix the floor to make a smooth dough.

  • Make even-sized dough balls and cook them on nonstick tava.

  • You can pat the roti directly on the nonstick tava (keep two tavas) or use banana leaves/thick plastic sheet/butter paper to pat and transfer it to tava.

  • Add ghee/oil on both the sides of roti.

  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.

    1    1 ½ cup of rice floor
    2    1 cup of grated coconut
    3    ¼ cup of roasted and grounded peanuts
    4    2-3 green chillies (or according your spice preference)
    5    2 spoon fried gram/kadale pappu
    6    1 tablespoon cumin seeds
    7    1 tablespoon til
    8    Salt according to taste
    9    A handful of coriander leaves finely chopped
    10    1 tablespoon ghee, or melted butter
